- Live table map
- Green is free, blue is running, amber means the bill is printed. Each table shows time open, KOTs and the running amount.
- Fast ordering
- Type a dish name or short code and press Enter. Veg, non-veg and egg marks, and a kitchen note on any item.
- Phones as order pads
- Captains open SpiceBill in their phone browser on the restaurant Wi-Fi. Phones don’t count as licensed computers.
- Move or merge
- Shift an order to another table, or reprint the full order for the kitchen.
In the kitchenNumbered tickets the kitchen can trust, and a record when anything is taken back.
- KOT numbers
- Every ticket gets its own KOT No., starting at 1 each day. A KOT carries only what was added since the last one.
- Void KOT with a reason
- Reduce or remove an item after it reached the kitchen and a numbered VOID KOT prints. Captains can’t void; cashiers and managers can.
- KOT register
- Search by date and number, see who sent each ticket, and reprint it. Reprints are counted.
- Two printers, no dialog
- KOTs go to the kitchen printer and bills to the counter printer, silently, from each computer.

- CGST and SGST shown for each slab, amount in words, GSTIN, FSSAI and the guest’s GSTIN for B2B bills.
- Split and part payments
- Cash, UPI, card and credit account in one bill, with references. The table frees itself when fully paid.

- Guest ordered more after the bill? Edit it with a reason. The bill number stays; the print shows REVISED R1.
- Tips outside the bill
- Record a tip for a staff member without touching sales or GST. Cash handover adjusts automatically.

- Bill regulars on account with credit limits, receive payments later and print an A4 statement.

Orders from Zomato, Swiggy, Magicpin, ONDC and your own website land on one board with a sound alert, wherever staff are in the app.

- Accepting creates the order, prints the KOT and raises the bill. Prepaid orders are marked paid.

Questions owners ask before they switch.
Do I need internet to bill?
No. SpiceBill runs on your own computer with its own database. Internet is only needed once to activate the licence, and for cloud backup in the Cloud edition — billing carries on when the connection drops and uploads later.
What does the free trial include?
All restaurant features for 15 days on up to 2 computers, plus as many captain phones as you like. No payment details are needed to start.
What happens when the trial ends?
Buy a licence and enter the key under Licence & sync. Your menu, bills and settings stay exactly where they are.
Which printers work?
Any Windows thermal printer at 80 mm or 58 mm for KOTs and bills, and any A4 printer for tax invoices and room invoices. Each computer can have its own KOT and bill printer.
Can I connect Zomato and Swiggy?
Yes, through an approved integration partner such as UrbanPiper, which delivers orders to SpiceBill. Until then you can enter platform orders by hand and still get KOTs, bills and commission reports.
We use the SpiceBill web version. Can we move?
Yes. Download a backup from the web version (Settings → Download backup) and restore it on the desktop app’s setup screen. Logins, bills and numbering carry over.
Where is my data kept?
On the main computer, with an automatic daily backup in Documents. In the Cloud edition a copy is also kept on SpiceBill Cloud, separate for every outlet. Passwords are never uploaded.
Are the GST rates fixed?
No. The defaults are 5% on food and 5% or 18% on rooms by tariff. Check current rates with your accountant and change them in Settings.

- Choose Main computer. The database is created for you.
- Enter your business name and create the owner login.
- On other counters, install and choose Another counter. Captains open the address shown under Licence & sync on their phones.
